Son of Nurit and Amir. Born on the 20th day of Adar I 5,763 (22.2.2003) in Nili. Brother of Zohar and Ori. On August 16, 2021, he enlisted in the IDF and served in the infantry. Staff Sergeant Adi Leon fell in battle on the 16th day of Heshvan 5,784 (31.10.2023). He was twenty years old. He was laid to rest in the military section of the cemetery in Modi’in. He is survived by his parents and two siblings.

The Story Behind The Sticker:

Adi was the soul of the group, always with a smile, a sense of humor that made everyone laugh, and a heart that lit up all those around him. He was a counselor in the “Maccabi Tzair” youth movement, a natural leader who connected people, guided them, and drew others after him effortlessly. Electronic music was his passion, and he spent hours in the home studio his parents built for him in their backyard. He dreamed of producing tracks that would one day be heard all around the world.

In August 2021, Adi enlisted and served as a combat soldier in the Givati Brigade. On October 7th, he was called up from leave and directly into missions to clear out terrorists and rescue civilians. A few days after the ground incursion into Gaza and intense combat with terrorists, an anti-tank missile struck his armored personnel carrier (Namer) and killed Adi along with ten other soldiers from his battalion.

A day before the ground incursion into Gaza, he wrote his final letter in his notebook, knowing there was a possibility he would not return to his family alive. The following sentence was chosen for his sticker:

His parents chose to commemorate him through an educational kit called ‘The Lights of Adi’, based on his words and the values he lived by, reflected in his letters. Adi is no longer here, but his path continues as the kits are read, translated, and distributed around the world, carrying on his values and inspiring others.
