Son of Pnina and Rafael. Born on the 11th day of Iyar 5,752 (14.5.1992). Brother of Avinoam and Hai. Ben Binyamin Shimoni was murdered on the 22nd day of Tishri 5,784 (7.10.2023) at the “Nova” music festival near Re’im after he saved the lives of many people from the party under fire. He was thirty-one years old. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Modi’in. He is survived by his parents, two brothers and a partner.

The Story Behind The Sticker:

Ben Binyamin Shimoni, managed to escape the massacre at the “Nova” music festival party in Re’im, but chose to return to the area to save friends who were left behind. Under fire and despite the danger, Ben stayed and managed to rescue 12 people, some of whom he didn’t even know.

In his final act of bravery, he encountered a terrorist ambush and lost his life instantly alongside Gaya Halifa. From his vehicle, Romi Gonen and Ofir Tzarfati were kidnapped and taken to Gaza. Ofir Tzarfati was killed in Hamas captivity. Romi Gonen returned to Israel after enduring 471 days in Hamas captivity.

Due to his heroic acts, the following sentence was chosen for his sticker, capturing his courage and sacrifice. “Don’t trust that someone else will take action, take action yourself.”
