Son of Ronit and Ofer. Born on the 13th day of Tishri 5,765 (28.9.2004) in Shoham. Brother of Ido and Itay. On December 12th, 2021, he enlisted in the IDF and served in the Golani Brigade. Sergeant Roei Peri fell in battle on the 22nd day of Tishri 5,784 (7.10.2023). He was nineteen years old. He was laid to rest in the military section of the Hadid Cemetery. He is survived by his parents and two brothers.

The Story Behind The Sticker:
Sergeant Roei Peri was a lively, funny, and responsible person, with a smile that charmed everyone around him. He loved traveling, playing music, tennis, sports and combat fitness training. Roei enjoyed eating at fine restaurants and he also loved to cook himself, striving to create the “perfect bite.” As in everything he did, he aimed for the best possible result—even in cooking.

Roei served as a combat soldier in the 13th Battalion of the “Golani” Brigade at the Magen Be’eri outpost. On October 7th, Roei and his commander, fought a heroic battle against dozens of terrorists who stormed the outpost. They volunteered to be the last to leave, covering their comrades while all other soldiers were directed to a protected area through an open area under heavy fire. Thanks to their bravery and courage, the members of their platoon were saved, and a greater disaster was prevented.

Roei’s family remembers that he used to live by and say: “Smile at the difficulty.” This quote was chosen for his sticker, symbolizing Roei’s essence and his life rules. He left behind a legacy of heroism, generosity, love for others, and deep devotion to his homeland.
