Son of Margarita. Born on the 4th day of Tevet 5,762 (19.12.2001) in Afula. Brother of Sandra, Vladislav, Yasmin and Adam. On August 11th, 2021, he enlisted in the IDF and served in the Nahal Brigade. Staff Sergeant Daniel Bezgodov fell in battle on the 22nd day of Tishri 5,784 (7.10.2023). He was twenty-one years old. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Afula. He is survived by his mother and four siblings.
 
The Story Behind The Sticker:

Staff Sergeant Daniel Bezgodov was a smiling and joyful young man with kind and wise eyes. He was strong both physically and mentally, and he was someone people could always rely on. He loved dancing, spending time with friends, exploring nature, and immersing himself in books to learn more about life.

As one of his friends described him, “His heart was as big as his muscles.” Daniel stood out for the respect he showed others, his generosity, and his willingness to help those in need. On one occasion, while out with friends, Daniel saw a child who was in danger of drowning in a spring and immediately jumped into the water to rescue him. On another occasion, when he realized that people did not have enough money to pay for their groceries, he offered to pay for them himself. He even drove them home so they would not have to carry their groceries onto a bus.

Daniel was a mischievous child and teenager, and as a result, he was exempt from military service in the IDF. However, toward the end of his studies, he decided to “take his future into his own hands” and make a significant change in his life to pursue his ambition of enlisting in a meaningful combat role.

Against all odds, he joined the pre-military academy “Asher Ruach Bo,” in Mitzpe Ramon, which prepares young people for military service. His fellow students remember him as a person of strong values and a natural leader who led quietly and with strength.

One of the qualities that defined him above all was his ambition and determination to succeed. He would often write himself motivational phrases, such as: “I have stopped thinking like a victim and have started thinking like a winner, because that is who I am,” as well as the sentence featured on his sticker: “Don’t let people break you, they didn’t build you.”

On Saturday, October 7, 2023, Daniel was supposed to be at home. However, one of the soldiers in his unit requested special leave, and Daniel volunteered to stay at the Sufa outpost in his place for the weekend. Daniel was killed that same Saturday after engaging in fierce battles with terrorists and saving many lives.
