Son of Sigal and Natan. Born on the 14th day of Kislev 5,764 (8.12.2003) and grew up in Beit Dagan. Brother of Daniel, Tal and Shachar. On August 11, 2022, he enlisted in the IDF and served in the Paratroopers Brigade. Staff Sergeant Amit Zadikov fell in battle on the 20th day of Av 5,784 (24.8.202). He was twenty years old. He was laid to rest in the Beit Dagan Cemetery. He is survived by his parents and three siblings.

The Story Behind The Sticker:

Amit was a happy person, full of optimism, with a smile that never left his face. His family describes him as a child with an insatiable thirst for life. He loved spending time with friends and making the most of every moment with the belief that “nothing is too hard, everything is ok.” Amit was the youngest in the family, a brother to three older siblings – triplets. His family used to say that he was the “cherry on top” that completed their family.

Amit was a combat medic who stood by his unit in every situation throughout his service, even when he was sick. He would always respond to his worried parents, saying, “How can I leave my team alone? I can’t leave them, I’m the medic.”

Amit loved taking words and making them his own, and one of the most prominent was “delight.” During the Shiva, people from all over the country came and shared how they couldn’t forget his smile. The family searched for a phrase that would describe him, and they knew two things had to be included – “pleasure” and “smile“. This is how Amit’s sticker phrase was born: “Life is a delight, so smile.”
