Son of Ariela and Naftali (Nati). Born on the 1st day of Av 5,762 (10.7.2002) in Tel Aviv. Brother of Itai and Daria. On December 2, 2020, he enlisted in the IDF and served in the Givati ​​Brigade. Captain Roi Miller Roi Miller fell in battle on the 27th day in Sivan 5,784 (3.7.2024). He was twenty-one years old. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. He is survived by his parents and two siblings.

Roi was a strikingly handsome young man who excelled in every field and never settled for anything less than his best. He always carried himself with grace, a smile, and an easygoing spirit, radiating genuine joy and inspiring and influencing everyone around him.

Before his enlistment, Roi did not have a combat profile, but he was determined to do everything he could to raise it so that he could enlist in a combat role.

Roi was a determined and inspiring commander who trained soldiers and taught them to believe in themselves and their ability to fulfill their potential and embrace their uniqueness. Despite his high expectations, he cared for his soldiers with extraordinary devotion, almost as though they were his own children. Even during his leave from the army, he traveled across the country to visit his soldiers, get to know their living circumstances, ensure they had everything they needed, and offer help wherever he identified a need or shortage.

On July 3, 2024, Roi identified terrorists infiltrating the fortified position where he was stationed in Shuja’iyya. Without hesitation, he was the first to charge forward and engage the enemy.

Through this action, he saved the lives of dozens of people who were in the fortified position.

Roi would often tell his soldiers: “Always remember your ‘why’, why you are here.”

His family chose this sentence as a message for life and as a guiding principle to carry forward.
