Son of Tamar and Natan, of blessed memory. Born on the 7th day of Shevat 5,728 (6.2.1968) in Kibbutz Mesilot. Brother of Yaron and Shiri. Gil was married to Ayelet and the couple had four children: Inbar, Omer, Anog and Adi. On October 7th, 2023, he enlisted in the reserves and served in the Combat Intelligence Collection Corps. Warrant officer (res.) Gil Buyum fell in battle on the 22nd day of Tishri 5,784 (7.10.2023). His son, Inbar, was on his way to defend the kibbutz and was murdered at the Sha’ar HaNegev junction. He was fifty-five years old. He was laid to rest in the military section of the Savyon Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, three children, his mother, two brothers and a sister.
