Son of Eti and Bentzi. Born on the 9th day of Heshvan 5,754 (24.10.1993) in Elkana. Brother of Zehavit and Noa. Moti married Ravital and the couple had two children: Lavi and Ori. On July 21st, 2013, he enlisted in the IDF and served in the Golani Brigade. Major Moti Shamir fell in battle on the 22nd day of Tishri 5,784 (7.10.2023). He was twenty-nine years old. He was laid to rest in the military section of the Elkana Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, two children, parents and two sisters.
