Daughter of Rachel Michal and Yakov. Born on the 29th day of Heshvan 5,758 (29.11.1997) in Yokneam Illit. Sister of Aviel and Nitzan. Shani Gabay was murdered on the 22nd day of Tishri 5,784 (7.10.2023) at the “Nova” music festival near Re’im. She was twenty-five years old. She was laid to rest in the cemetery in Yokneam. She is survived by her parents, brother and sister.

The Story Behind The Sticker:

Shani Gabay’s family says she was always full of joy and endless happiness.

She was deeply committed to environmental protection and to finding foster homes and adoptions for dogs. Her heart had room for everyone.

Shani excelled in her law studies and was interning at a law firm.

On Saturday, October 7th, when missile attacks began, Shani fled the Nova Music Festival northward with two friends. When the “Red Alert” sounded, they took shelter at Alumim junction, where terrorists threw grenades inside, her friends were severely injured and lost consciousness. Shani fled to her car under gunfire and was shot in the leg.

Due to the injury in her leg, she made her way to the makeshift clinic in the Re’im parking lot. She awaited evacuation to the hospital, but due to approaching terrorists, she took shelter in an ambulance. The terrorists fired at those hiding under the ambulance and eventually shot an RPG, completely burning it and killing Shani.

Shani lived every moment to the fullest, as if every day were her last. She lived life with great intensity and always loved to say: “No time for drama.” This phrase was later tattooed on her family members and was chosen to appear on her sticker.
