Daughter of Katia and Meir. Born on the 28th day of Adar II 5,760 (4.4.2000). Sister of Shani and Mor. Bar Zohar was murdered on the 22nd day of Tishri 5,784 (7.10.2023) at the “Nova” music festival near Re’im. She was twenty-three years old. She was laid to rest in the Kfar Warburg Cemetery. She is survived by her parents, a sister and brother.
 

The Story Behind The Sticker:

Bar was a gifted child who consistently excelled in everything she did. Both in school and during her military service, she received numerous certificates of excellence. Bar loved music. She wrote songs and recorded herself singing in videos that her family discovered only after her death.

On October 7th, Bar traveled to the Nova music festival in Re’im with four friends she had met during her backpacking trip in South America. When the missile sirens began, they fled toward Be’eri, but a police roadblock directed them back toward the festival area. On their way back, they encountered pickup trucks carrying terrorists who opened fire on them, and Bar was wounded.

Despite being wounded, Bar got out of the car, which had been hit by gunfire, and ran toward another vehicle. She started the engine and shouted for her friends to get in. She then drove at high speed and insisted on returning to the festival area to warn the police to redirect people’s escape route, thereby saving hundreds of lives. Three of the four friends who were in the car with Bar survived.

Bar wrote extensively throughout her life and left behind a large collection of written works. Many of the poems and songs she wrote were compiled into a book titled “Keys of the Soul”, and twelve of them were later set to music. The quotes that appear on Bar’s stickers were taken from poems and writings found in the notes on her phone.
